Lake Victoria

Uganda is home to roughly 50% of the world’s remaining population, primarily found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga.
Kibale National Park boasts the highest density of primates in Africa, with 13 species including over 1,500 chimpanzees.
Unique to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, these lions are famous for spending their afternoons draped across large fig tree branches.
While rhinos were previously extinct in the wild, they are being reintroduced, with the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary serving as a key breeding hub.
With over 1,060 bird species (about 10% of the global total), Uganda is a top destination for spotting the prehistoric-looking Shoebill Stork.
